Bio
Barbara Padega is the Director of Knowledge Management for Appleby, based in the Cayman Islands office.
She heads the Knowledge Management Team, which is comprised of professional support lawyers and KM officers across the group, and directly supports the partners and associates in providing the highest quality legal services to our clients.
Barbara uses technology to deliver state of the art know-how, precedents and information to our teams. A much sought after and engaging speaker, Barbara regularly provides internal and external training on legal developments offshore. Barbara’s unique role within Appleby serves as a bridge between the legal practice and the business support functions of the organisation.
Prior to taking on a knowledge management role, Barbara worked as a litigator in London, Canada.

She is called to the bars of Ontario (non-practising), Bermuda (non-practising) and the Cayman Islands. She has a developed additional expertise in the laws and legal systems of Mauritius and the British Virgin Islands.
